Logic Pro X
This is a guide for installing MidiKnobs with Ableton Before following this guide, make sure that the app is connected to the server by following the installation guide.
There are two ways that you can assign controllers in Logic.
Method one:
1. Make sure that Midi Mixer is connected to the server by following the installation guide.
2. Left click on the controller you want to assign in Logic.
3. Press cmd + L and the Controller Assignments window will pop up.
4. Move the controller in Midi Mixer that you want to use. Keep moving the controller until “Input message:” changes.
5. Press the Learn button so that it turns gray. You can now close the Controller Assignments window, or if you want to assign more controllers, keep reading from step 2 below.
Method two:
1. Make sure that Midi Mixer is connected to the server by following the installation guide.
2. In the menu, click Logic Pro X -> Control surfaces -> Controller Assignments.
3. Click on the controller in Logic that you would like to assign. Click Learn so that the button changes color to blue.
4. Move a controller in Midi Mixer until “Input message:” changes.
5. Click Learn again so that it turns gray. Repeat these steps for all controls you would like to assign.
